Rhonda reported to me this morning that the SSN option for GIL Express has been removed. Removing the Social Security Number option is intended to make patron information more secure.
Students will use their Laker Id's or Barcode numbers to access the system.

Just to clarify a little - Students have been complaining that they cannot get into their GIL Express accounts via their Social Security numbers. The reason for that is social security numbers were removed from Voyager but has not yet been removed as an option from the Universal Catalog. Until that issue is resolved, please tell them to use their Laker ID or Barcode, and they should have no problem at all. Thanks - Rhonda
